What We Believe

Jesus Christ Is Lord

Christianity is a lifestyle. In Paul’s letter to the Philippians he says, “For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 1:6) So we are not perfect. We have faith that through our works, God will continue to perfect us until Jesus’ return. The path was also laid out in Philippians, “Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things. The things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you. (Philippians 4:8-9).

Our Mission

Our mission at the Corridor Church of Christ is simple. To spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ to all that will listen. Preaching baptism, the word of Faith, the goodness of Salvation, and the comfort of the Holy Spirit to all that will hear. We teach practical lessons that will help you live the kind of life that God wants you to live. The book of John reads, “Until now you have asked for nothing in My name; ask and you will receive, so that your joy may be made full. (John 16:24)

STATEMENT OF FAITH

God The Father

1 Corinthians 8:6 yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom are all things and we exist for Him; and one Lord, Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we exist through Him.

Baptism

Acts 2;38 Peter said to them, “Repent, and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
1 Peter 3:21 Corresponding to that, baptism now saves you—not the removal of dirt from the flesh, but an appeal to God for a good conscience-through the resurrection of Jesus Christ

Creation

Colossians 1:16 For by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things have been created through Him and for Him.

Jesus Christ

John 10:14-15 I am the good shepherd, and I know My own and My own know Me, even as the Father knows Me and I know the Father; and I lay down My life for the sheep.

The Bible

2 Timothy 3:16-17 All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every
good work.

Salvation

Acts 4:10-12 let it be known to all of you and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead—by this name this man stands here before you in good health. He is the stone which was rejected by you, the builders, but which became the chief corner stone. And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved.”

The Holy Spirit

John 16:7-11 But I tell you the truth, it is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I go, I will send Him to you. And He, when He comes, will convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment; concerning sin, because they do not believe in Me; and concerning righteousness, because I go to the Father and you no longer see Me; and concerning judgment, because the ruler of this world has been judged.

The Trinity

2 Corinthians 13: 14 The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with you all.

Communion

Philippians 2: 1-2 Therefore if there is any encouragement in Christ, if there is any consolation of love, if there is any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and compassion, make my joy complete by being of the same mind, maintaining the same love, united in spirit, intent on one purpose

JESUS SAVES

1

Hear the word of the gospel

Romans 10;17 So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ.

2

Believe the gospel

John 3;17-18  For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him. He who believes in Him is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

3

Repent

Luke 13:3 I tell you, no, but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish.

4

confess that Jesus Christ is the son of God

Roman 10:10 for with the heart a person believes,  resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.

5

Be Baptized

Act 2:38 Peter said to them, “Repent, and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
